Rash On Baby Face After Fever. The rash is harmless. Once the fever goes away they might also develop a raised spotty reddish rash mainly on their neck and trunk. 1-3 days of high fever may be 101-105 degrees F Rash develops 12-24 hours after the fever breaks Rash may persist for up to a 1 week. The rash consists of many small pink spots or patches.
See a GP immediately if you think your child has scarlet fever. The fever lasts three to five days. Your child may also develop swollen lymph nodes in his or her neck along with the fever. Evanescent and transient 2-5 mm erythematous maculopapular rash salmon-pink appearing with fever once a day on trunk and extremities proximal more common. It usually appears 12 days after the fever starts but can present up to 7 days later. It usually appears in the first 4 weeks after birth and can last until about 4 months of age.
Young adults more common in females.
The rash which might look like a straight line can form within 12 to 48 hours after exposure to the plant and take a few weeks to clear up. See a GP immediately if you think your child has scarlet fever. While mild cases can be treated at home talk with your pediatrician if your child is especially uncomfortable the rash is severe andor isnt going away if the rash is on your childs face or groin area or if you notice signs of infection ie fever redness swelling beyond the poison ivy or oak lesions.
