Allergic Reaction Heat Rash Toddler. A rash can also be known as dermatitis which is swelling puffiness or irritation of the skin. Miliaria Rubra Prickly Heat. Allergic reactions are caused by the immune system of the body against harmless environmental agents such as drugs or seafood. At first I thought it was just heat rash but later discovered it was the seafood after doing an allergy test. It can be red dry scaly and itchy. While it typically affects children aged 26 it may also occur in infants with papular urticaria. Hives are a skin reaction that brings on in itchy red bumps that may burn or sting.
Papular hives mimic tiny clusters of red bumps or bug bites.
